Sloveso follow znamená následovat (jít za, po něčem v čase ap.) a též sledovat (průběžně se zajímat ap.), ale také řídit se (pokyny ap.). Např.: Follow me. - Pojďte za mnou., Follow the instructions. - Dodržujte pokyny. Do you follow (me)? znamená “Chápeš?” (stíháš sledovat můj výklad ap.)

Doplňte překlady vět. Soustřeďte se na užití infinitivu a gerundia.

Internetový obchod je anglicky online shop. Klasický kamenný obchod je v angličtině brick(s)-and-mortar store, tedy “obchod z cihel a malty”. Store je v britské angličtině spíše velká prodejna (Např.: department store - obchodní dům ap.) a menší obchod je shop. V americké angličtině je store jakýkoli obchod.

Základní význam slovesa post je poslat (poštou) a podstatné jméno post je pošta (systém i posílané zásilky). Např.: I sent it by post. - Poslal jsem to poštou.

Pro slovo zdroj nelze zaměňovat anglické source a resource rɪˈzɔːs! Source je to, z čeho se něco čerpá, zatímco resources jsou zdroje, tedy samotné prostředky, které lze čerpat. Např.: Fruits are a source of vitamins. - Ovoce je zdrojem vitamínů. ALE a country rich in natural resources - země bohatá na přírodní zdroje.

Average ˈævərɪdʒ (průměr) je v angličtině i sloveso - znamená “v průměru být” (kolik). Např.: The prices averaged 12 USD. - Ceny byly v průměru 12 dolarů., these classes averaging 20 students ... - tyto třídy čítající v průměru 20 studentů... ap.
